This exhibition is a love letter to The Bronx. The project was about finding my voice and so, I sought to highlight the environment and people that I seek inspiration from on the daily. The working class community that strengthened and supported that voice. The place that made me. At the time, the world was pre-pandemic. The category “non-essential” didn’t exist to us yet and to me, it still doesn’t. The people of the Bronx have always been essential to my life and this is the way they’ve always looked to me. These photos are a celebration of my community
